My absolute all time favorite movie is My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I decided that since I love the movie so much and I knew that other people love it too, I should throw a movie night to watch the movie and have fun.

At the movie night, we played a quick "Who knows the character that said this quote?" game, then we ate and watched the movie, and kept eating (just as the characters did in the movie).

I had some appetizers from the store, but I baked....
-some Lemon Yogurt Cupcakes with blue and white swirl frosting
-a bundt cake, with.....a flower pot in the middle (just like in the movie!)

The Lemon Cupcakes were just my Lemon Yogurt Cake, made into cupcake form. I personally still like the cake form better, but that's just me.
I took some white 5-minute frosting, and separated it into two bowls. One bowl stayed the same color, the other was dyed blue.
Greek colors are white and blue, and lemon is a typical Greek flavor (there is also Greek Yogurt in the cupcakes, so it was a perfect fit!).

There is a scene in the movie, where the soon to be mother-in-law is invited over to dine at the bride's family's house. Being a nice guest, she brings a bundt cake, but Toula's (the main character) mom has no clue what the dessert is or how to pronounce "bundt". She realizes "there is a hole in this cake", so she goes inside the house and puts a flower pot in the middle to fill the hole, which was actually supposed to be there in the first place.
The flower pot I used, was a perfect fit, and I filled it with 2 Hostess cupcakes, and added some chocolate cookie crumbs to look like dirt. I took some fake flowers and stuck them in the middle. It look very realistic and tasted awesome, if I do say so myself.
